YARD SALES OF CENTRE
HASTINGS, MAY 21st, 2004.
In Centre Hastings having a yard sale
is as traditional as opening up the cottage, or having a BBQ on the
Queen Victoria Day Weekend. This year over 15 yard sales were
in full operation as the May Two-Four weekend began selling everything
from skis, to BBQs, to knick-knacks, to computers......the range of
goods for sale was endless. And the customers came in droves,
all the way from the yard sale professionals to the devoted amateurs
to the casual visitor....all looking for that bargain that makes stopping
worth the while. How about a living room suite for $25.00, or
a Royal Doulton cup and saucer for $1.50? What about a BBQ for
$10.00 or an original painting for $15.00? All these and more
were on show and on sale. Centre Hastings is definitely a great
spot to visit on the first summer-like long weekend of the year to
spend a day looking for great deals without breaking the bank.
